Rebuilding Kaohsiung (高雄)
In 2007 I published a little series of posts about the city of Kaohsiung. According the blog´s statistics those articles are seemingly still interesting for readers from all parts of the world. Most of the pictures got lost because the - for a long time closed - web page of PASSADO had hosted them. The city government of Kaohsiung had changed their internet presentation thus several links were broken. Now I rebuilt the three articles:

Many things happened in Kaohsiung during the last 5 years. The city got a metro system, hosted the World Games, merged with the county. Much more changed: Industrial and military use moved back. Culture and tourism, commerce and communication gained more importance. There is a lot to report about the city´s development between 2007 and today.
But one fact lasts: Kaohsiung Is The Garden City - Forever!
Hier in Taipei bauen sie auch alles um. Wir sollen wie HongKong werden, sagt die Stadt. Als Frau und ich gestern den Bahnhof nicht mehr fanden (neues Gebäude!) empfahl ich ihr, in Zukunft erstmal auf den Stadtplan von HongKong zu gucken bevor wir losfahren....
